Gerald Ambrose

Mr Gerald Ambrose is an Independent Non Executive Director of Opus Asset Management Sdn Bhd (“OpusAM”). His distinguished career spans senior leadership roles across Malaysia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, reflecting a deep and longstanding engagement with ASEAN and global capital markets.

Gerald began his career with an eight year commission in His Majesty’s Royal Navy, during which he earned a Falklands Campaign medal, finishing his commission as a submarine navigator. After completing his naval service, he transitioned into financial services with First Pacific Securities in London. In 1989, he moved to Malaysia when First Pacific acquired a stake in Mohaiyani Securities, gaining firsthand exposure to the rapid rise of Malaysia’s equity market.

In 1992, Gerald embraced Islam and later joined CIMB Securities under Datuk Seri Nazir Razak, where he observed the evolving landscape of Malaysian equities. He returned to the United Kingdom in 1996 to join HSBC James Capel, navigating the Asian Financial Crisis from an institutional sales standpoint. By 2000, he relocated to Singapore with HSBC, and in 2001, he became Institutional Sales Director at Kim Eng Securities.

In 2005, Gerald was invited by Aberdeen Asset Management to establish and lead its Malaysian operations. As Managing Director of Aberdeen Asset Management (later abrdn Malaysia and abrdn Islamic Malaysia), he expanded the firm’s assets under management from USD 50 million to approximately USD 6 billion over a span of 19 years, stepping down in June 2024. He also served as CEO of abrdn Islamic Malaysia from 2013 onward.

Gerald currently serves as a Non Executive Director of the Pangolin Asia Fund, where his extensive background in ASEAN equities and his leadership experience at Aberdeen Malaysia support the fund’s focus on regional small and mid capitalisation opportunities.

Elaine Goh

Ms. Elaine joined Opus Asset Management in September 2025 as Senior Manager of Client Investment Services.

A seasoned investment and client services professional with over 20 years of experience in the wealth and asset management industry, spanning across Singapore and Malaysia. She has held various roles with Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited, Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, Eastspring Investments (Singapore) Limited, and Manulife Unit Trusts Berhad (now known as Manulife Investment Management (M) Berhad)), where she played a key role in client and distributor engagement, fund development, marketing initiatives, and sales support.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from Middlesex University and is a CFPCERT TM professional.

Dannial Yusof Iman

En. Dannial joined Opus Islamic Management Sdn Bhd in 2025 as an Investment Manager. He started his career at Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), where he received a scholarship for his tertiary education. At PNB, he started out as an investment analyst and then became a fund manager. He was then sent to PNB (UK) Limited as an expatriate fund manager in London, United Kingdom. He had also spent a year in investment data analytics with PNB. He then moved to JIA Asset Management serving as a Director from 2021 until 2024 where he had managed a wide range of investment portfolios, including corporate bonds, structured products, private mandates, and money market instruments. Prior to joining Opus, he was a fund manager and investment analyst with the Employees Provident Fund Board.

Dannial holds a Master of Science in Finance from Imperial College Business School and a First-Class Honours degree in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE). He is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (CISI). He is also a holder of a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence.

Ang Beng Kuan

Mr. Ang joined Opus Islamic Management Sdn Bhd as Head of Investment Strategy in 2025. Mr. Ang started his career in 2008 with Employees Provident Fund Board as money market, foreign exchange and derivatives dealer. Over the tenure, his role also expanded to private debt investments, portfolio manager for Emerging Markets and investment strategist. Before joining Opus, he was with Hong Leong Asset Management as Head of Fixed Income (2021–2023), before being promoted to Executive Director and Head of Fund Management at Hong Leong Islamic Asset Management until 2025.

Mr. Ang is an associate member of Persatuan Forex Dealer’s Representative license and holds Masters in Economics (Mec) from University Malaya. He is also a holder of a Capital Markets Services Representative’s License.

High Net-Worth Entities

A company that is registered as a trust company under the Trust Companies Act 1949 and has assets under its management exceeding RM10 million or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
A corporation that is a public company under the Companies Act 2016 which is approved by the Securities Commission Malaysia to be a trustee under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 and has assets under its management, exceeding RM10 million or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
A corporation that is carrying on the regulated activity of fund management solely for the benefit of its related corporations and has assets under its management exceeding RM10 million or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
A corporation with total net assets exceeding RM10 million or its equivalent in foreign currencies based on the last audited accounts.
A partnership with total net assets exceeding RM10 million or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
A statutory body established under any laws whose function or mandate is investment in capital market products.
A pension fund approved by the Director General of Inland Revenue under the Income Tax Act 1967.

Accredited Investors

A unit trust scheme, private retirement scheme or prescribed investment scheme.
Bank Negara Malaysia.
A licensed person or a registered person.
An exchange holding company, a stock exchange, a derivatives exchange, an approved clearing house, a central depository or a recognized market operator.
A corporation that is licensed, registered or approved to carry on any regulated activity or capital market services by an authority in Labuan or outside Malaysia which exercises functions corresponding to the functions of the Securities Commission Malaysia.
A bank licensee or insurance licensee as defined under the Labuan Financial Services and Securities Act 2010.
An Islamic bank licensee or takaful licensee as defined under the Labuan Islamic Financial Services and Securities Act 2010;
A chief executive officer or a director of any person referred to in points III to VII under the Accredited Investors category.
A closed-end fund approved by the Securities Commission Malaysia.

Others

Any person who acquires the unlisted capital market product where the consideration is not less than RM250,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies for each transaction whether such amount is paid for in cash otherwise.

Ahmad Zarul Fitri Bin Mohd Azam

Mr. Zarul is an Investment Manager in Opus that joined in February 2022. He oversees multiple discretionary and wholesale funds within the Opus group. He started his career as an intern at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Brisbane in the relative value and arbitraging team during the 2008 global financial crisis.

Later, he joined RHB Bank as a Cross Market trader in 2011 where he is primarily in charge in maintaining the principal dealership as well as trading multiple cross currency assets. He then was scouted in 2015 by Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) to manage their government & quasi and Asian fixed income portfolios where he managed Asset under management worth RM 50 billion.

In 2017, he was recruited by United Overseas Bank Malaysia Berhad (UOB) to setup their Credit Trading Desk, Structure Credit Desk, as well as Retail Bond Business. He grew the business to generate RM 20 million a year in profit within 2 years as well as developing new credit derivative products for UOB.

Mr. Zarul holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Queensland, Australia and is a holder of Capital Markets Services Representative’s License.

Terry Tan Theam Swee

Mr. Tan joined Opus Asset Management as Senior Fund Manager in 2013. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial market. He started his career at Arab Malaysian Merchant Bank in 1989. He then joined Great Eastern Life Assurance Malaysia Berhad in 1997 as the Manager of Fixed Income and was subsequently promoted to Vice President where he headed the Fixed Income Investments Department, managing a fund size of about RM20 billion. In 2007, he joined Avenue Invest Berhad for 2 years as Director/Head of Fixed Income. Prior to joining Opus, Mr. Tan was attached to Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad as Head of Fixed Income and Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management from 2009 until 2013.

Mr. Tan is a member of the Persatuan Pasaran Kewangan Malaysia (PPKM) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He holds an Advanced Diploma in Business and Management from the University of Wales, U.K. He is also a holder of a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence.

Ng Lee Peng

Ms. Ng joined Opus Asset Management (OpusAM) in 2006, to head and set up the investment department. She has helped to build the investment team which consists of fund management, research and analytics. As the Head of Investment, she oversees the daily investment decisions by a team of portfolio managers and ensures that the funds are managed in accordance to the strategy decided by the Investment team together with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). She also oversees the research team and currently sits in company credit group.

Ms Ng started her career as a banker, specializing in credit. She spent a total of 7 years in banking, analyzing credits of companies and structuring of loans and credit facilities. Besides marketing and credit proposals, she was responsible for the evaluation of credit reports submitted by various branches for recommendation to the Credit Committee. Her career in investment started when she joined the Investment Department of Hong Leong Assurance Bhd in 1999. With her credit background, she was in charge of the fixed income portfolio which grew from less than RM500 million to approximately RM1.5 billion.

Ms. Ng graduated from Monash University, Australia and holds a Bachelor of Economics majoring in Accounting. She is also a Certified Practicing Accountant under the Australian Society of CPAs (“ASCPA”). She holds a Capital Markets Services Representative’s License.
